Nearly there???

Well the plan is to move back on weekend of 16th Feb - heat permitting!

Dad and Lol have been working like the proverbial and now that Dad has gone for a much needed rest in Oz it is down to Lol and me to get us in. Now there is a scarey thought!!!

Been a while...

Where has the time gone?

Well the house has progressed, as you would expect, but work shut down for the winter. Spring should see the final push to get the plastering finished - yes we still have unplastered rooms - and decorating completed.

Then again I said that last year.

Will definitely be finished by Christmas. Again.

Well every little helps and every time we hang a curtain or fix a new light the house gets better.

Well we are in!

Another pictureless update!

We do have lots of photos - honest - just without access to the internet it is a little difficult to get the picture on-line.

Well the floor screed was a great success and Dad, Lol and Rick have been working like trojans getting new 1st floor in, new ceiling upstairs, all windows and doors installed, plasterboarding and first fix electrics. All on a Tuesday morning!

Charlie starts next week and will be plastering the upstairs SIP rooms so we are still on target to be back in the house at the end of January - hooooooooray.

I will get some new photos up soon. Well before the end of the year anyway. Potentially.

Well finally got backside engaged and here are some new photo's of the building site! It is moving on, honest!

Underfloor heating and floor screeding should be done within next two weeks so will update the blog then!

Pictureless update!

Sorry about the lack of pictures but not so easy for me to upload at the moment.

Progress has been very good with the roofers starting the slating on Friday and Dad starting the porch last week. Weather permitting both should be finished this week!

Dad has also been a star and ripped out all the internal walls upstairs getting ready for installing the windows - hopefully arriving next week - and the new studwork, once everything has been supported properly. It is quite amazing that buildings can survive so long when joists and rafters are full of holes and rot!!

So onwards and upwards. Hope to have some more photo's up soon, but then again I hoped the Villa would have bought more players by now so what do I know!
